Sustainable transport at E van Wijk
Sustainability is not a trend but a promise at E. van Wijk Logistics. As a pioneer in sustainable road transport, we continuously invest in innovative solutions to reduce our ecological footprint.
Our efforts focus on multiple areas: we have added ten electric DAF trucks to our fleet, and since 2024 we generate our own energy using 2,800 solar panels connected to a 4.3 MWh battery system. This marks a big step toward fully CO₂-neutral transport.
The use of alternative fuels also plays a key role. Our customers can choose HVO diesel, a sustainable fuel based on residual plant oils. This allows for immediate CO₂ reduction without major vehicle modifications.
