W\u00e9d\u00e9flex is the first customer of E. van Wijk to deploy a fully electric DAF XD truck for zero-emission distribution within the Netherlands. These values are clearly reflected in their respective sustainability mottos \u2014 \u201cTogether We Care\u201d (E. van Wijk) and \u201cWe Care\u201d (W\u00e9d\u00e9flex). The deployment of the electric truck is a tangible example of how these values are brought to life in daily operations.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"547\" data-end=\"600\"><strong data-start=\"547\" data-end=\"600\">Electric driving powered by 100% renewable energy<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"602\" data-end=\"943\">The DAF XD Electric is a quiet, fully emission-free truck with a range of up to 450 kilometers. It is charged using solar energy generated by E. van Wijk\u2019s own solar power system, consisting of 2,800 panels at its Giessen facility. The energy is stored in an advanced 4.3 MWh battery system, ensuring a reliable and sustainable power supply.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"602\" data-end=\"943\">\u201cThe prominent W\u00e9d\u00e9flex logo on the truck symbolizes their active contribution to sustainable logistics,\u201d says Klaas-Jan den Hertog, manager sales &#038; marketing at E. van Wijk Logistics. <em>\u201cEvery kilometer this truck drives means fewer emissions and greater awareness.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1216\" data-end=\"1253\"><strong data-start=\"1216\" data-end=\"1253\">Visible impact, immediate results<\/strong><\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1255\" data-end=\"1505\">By deploying this electric truck, an estimated 79 tons of CO\u2082 emissions will be avoided annually compared to a conventional diesel vehicle.
