Giessen, located in North Brabant, is our home base since 2002. We started in 1948 in Genderen and moved from there to Giessen. In the following years, we also opened branches in Romania, Ukraine and Poland.
E. van Wijk focuses primarily on European road transport of palletized goods. We also offer additional services such as warehousing and customs formalities.
Our entire service can be summarized in making our customers more successful by passionate employees with continuity and stewardship as our drivers.

A considerable part of the fleet of E. van Wijk consists of combinations and trailers with tarpaulins. Goods in our trucks can therefore be accessed from both sides of the trailer as well as its rear. This is very handy for large goods or unloading goods on a construction site.
In locations without a forklift truck, or on a construction site, loading and unloading is not a problem thanks to the tipper truck that optionally travels on the back of the truck. Naturally, our drivers have excellent command of this vehicle.
Our thermo trucks are equipped for all products that need to be shipped under temperature controlled requirements. We offer a large temperature range between – 32 °C and + 35 °C and ATP (FRC) and Pharma certificates are available for all trailers providing a temperature guarantee and a confirmation of high quality equipment used by E van Wijk.
Temperature controlled and ADR shipments represent one of our niche market segments. All our drivers are well trained and certified for shipping ADR. All E van Wijk trucks are properly equipped for ADR transport and our temperature controlled fleet makes no exception.
At international destinations, cargo and documents must meet a variety of requirements. We not only prepare these documents, but also handle them for you through our customs agent. Limitless and worry-free ‘as promised’.
Transporting chemicals requires extra attention. Safety comes first at all times, but we also do not lose sight of ideal conditions – such as temperature. Conditioned or tilt transport: your cargo is in good, qualified hands, also for transshipment.
We are professionals at combining groupage and partial shipments. At the cross-dock in Giessen, we collect all partial shipments to deliver them through an efficient route in the destination region. This allows our customer to take maximum advantage of our covered network at an attractive rate, whatever the country of destination.
Our warehouse is the smart link between your stock and your customers. On demand, we translate your orders into a shipment and on-time delivery. In the Netherlands, we have 14,000 m² of warehouse storage at our disposal.
Our employees are ready to handle your requests: picking, (re)packaging, labeling, palletizing container shipments, packing and shipping. Our WMS system guarantees you quick access to online inventory, incoming and outgoing orders. It provides accurate real-time information about your stored goods and tracks all movements.
